GlossyBox: August

17:30

This post is both sad and exciting, sad because this is probably my last Glossy Box for a while and excited because, as I am sure you know from recent social media, it was Glossy Box's five year anniversary this month which means a special addition of the Glossy Box and I have to say it looks fab! To celebrate, they had the amazing designer Rae Feather to redesign their box and a special tote bag made especially for the Glossy Box. II will admit that I would have liked to have the name Geraldine Baker or something like that so my name matched the initials but ah well its still a lovely bag that I am sure I will get much use out of! ( I have just noticed the sneak peak for next week and I am even sadder that I can't continue it!).

So the first thing in this months glossy box is a MUA eyeshadow palette and I actually really love the colours in this palette! They are all slightly shimmery which I don't mind but it's nice to have some matte shades as well. However, I really like the browns as well as the neutral colours and I think that you will be able to get a lot of different looks out of this palette. Recently I have been really loving a soft, brown smokeyish eye that is quite a subtle but nice for an everyday look

This is meant to be a really great lotion and it the perfect size for travel. However, I have to say I just don't like the smell! It has Lemongrass, Ginger and Rosemary within it which is a scent that my mum loves it but it is just not for me! So I think this is going to have to be another one that I pass on over to her but I have to say I really love the packaging of this product. It really does sound lovely though and it is described to 'deeply moisturise(s) the skin with Shea and Cocoa Butters' so, if you like the smell (or if they have any other types I might try them out?) then I would say give it ago and see what you think!

Now, dis mask is expensive! But I have to say it is one of the best masks I have ever used. It left my skin feeling so soft and, I think that it is the only mask that I have used where I have actually noticed that my skin looks more glowy and brighter. The price is very extortionate so I would be able to get another bottle when this finishes but if any of you can afford £60 for this mask I would say go for it as it is pretty great! I believe that this is also a relatively new brand that uses all natural ingredients and isn't tested on animals which is something that I am trying to keep more in mind when I am buying makeup and skincare products.

So the final product it the Spa For You Deep Pore Facial Cleansing Brush and it is actually the product that I was most interested in when I saw all the pictures of the box. I have never used a cleansing brush and keep forgetting to use it so I haven't fully tested it out but it is so soft that I think it will be really good and softly cleansing the skin so that you aren't damaging your skin but still getting rid of any dead skin cells or impurities. This silicon is said to 'massage the skin to improve microcirculation for renewed radiance' which is something that I could definitely get used to so fingers crossed that it does what it says on the tin!

And that is it! My final review and I know I said that I would give my final overview and I would definitely recommend the GlossyBox and if anyone had any doubts or were debating on whether or not it is worth it, I would say go for the three month subscription to test it out and see whether or not you want to carry it on. There will be a few products that you won't like but there are so many other products that do fit you and that you will love and use! It is £28.50 for a three month subscription so that's only £9.50 per box which is pretty good as, according to the prices they give for each product, this box is worth £103.99. I think this may be because it is an anniversary as the others were worth a bit less but that is still amazing!

So I hope you have liked my review and if you would like to check out the reviews of the other two boxes please click here and here! Have you got a GlossyBox subscription? What do you think of this months subscription?
