A Review: Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker

17:30

The stunning packaging of the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lipsticks caught my eye when I was browsing the makeup section in Boots and I immediately started testing them all on the back of my hand until you couldn't see my skin anymore. I found a few that I really loved but couldn't buy at the moment so they immediately went onto my wish list for the next cosmetic product I was to buy. Soap and Glory is one of those brands that I ever think of to go to when I am looking for makeup as I always think of their bath products when I think of their brand. However, I can't say how many times I have said to someone or commented on an Instagram photo saying 'I love your lipstick/eyebrows etc, what did you use?' and they have replied, 'Oh it is the Soap and Glory...'. I then received their Glow All Out Highlight & Sculpt cheek stick and it is by far my favourite highlighter ( I don't have many but this has made me want to go out, test some others and expand my highlighter collection) and would highly recommend this. Anyway, long story short, I really wanted to try out some more Soap and Glory cosmetics and when I say these lipsticks were reduced (if you read my blog often you will know I am a sucker for a good sale or discount!) I had to pick a few up.

Their lipsticks have three different packages, an almost rose gold, nude metallic colour, a pink metallic and a red metallic with each one grouping the different shades - so the first are all the neutral nudes, the pinks are, well, the pinks and the same with the red. I picked up the shade Super Nude and the shade Pomme Girl, both are mattes and I have to say they are lovely. For a drugstore product, they both feel quite expensive and high end, feeling relatively heavy and well made. This, I think, is reflected in the price as they are £9.00 each which is a bit steep for a drugstore lipstick however I do think that they are worth it and are on a par with Mac lipsticks. The consistency of both lipsticks are nice and creamy; they don't dry out your lips like some mattes do, or stick to your lips when trying to apply it, gliding nicely onto your lips.

The shade Pomme girl is gorgeous. It is quite a deep, berry pink that glams up any look immediately. When I first tried this lipstick on I had a soft brown smokey eye with a little bit of brown eyeliner on and at looked really amazing and really finished off the look. I have been looking for a colour like this for so long and am so glad that I totally love it and can't wait for more opportunities to wear it!

The second shade is called Totaly Nude and is a really lovely shade. It is quite a soft shade and is browny/pink but looks very neutral on the lips and is perfect for everyday use. I have quite pale lips sometimes and this is exactly what I need to add some warmth to my look and make sure it doesn't look like I have concealer lips! Not a very flattering look I'm sure you all know!

So that is my review! I definitely love these lipsticks and will be going back to try out some more shades. Have you tried any Soap and Glory products? What did you think?
