Radiant Skin Care. Benefit

17:30

I got this amazing set from one of my very generous friends for my birthday last month and it is something that I have been dying to try out as I am constantly on the lookout for anything that can make the slightest improvements to my skin. As I have mentioned previously, my skin goes through phases of being really dry then super oily in just a few days which is so annoying and makes it really hard to find something that won't irritate it or make me fell like my skin is suffocating. I found that a lot of these products were very light on my skin, for example, the eye cream is very light and feels very nourishing, however, I have found that the facial cream and the face emulsion are much thicker so I would definitely suggest you use them sparingly and I wouldn't recommend using both, especially as they both have very similar ingredients but I'll talk about them in more detail below.

First off lets talk about the packaging. Benefit are known for they're amazing and different packaging and these products don't disappoint. The facial emulsion and the toning lotion are both in these super cute potion bottles that look so cool and even though they are only small in this little kit, they still feel really heavy which ,whilst it may sound strange, I love as it shows how good the quality which has a comforting factor since it is going on your face. I also like the fact that they have matched to packaging to the products. There two are both moisturising so have the same bottles, the two cleansing products (a wash and a polish) are both in little squeezy tubes and the two creams ( a face cream and an eye cream) are in two dinky little pots that area gain super cute and aesthetically pleasing. All the products have a very nice, fresh, cleansing smell which is exactly what I want in a cleaning product. For me, I prefer my face washes not to be filled with artificial smells that always makes the product feel heavier on my skin and a cleaner smelling product makes for a cleaner feeling result (it is probably all psychological but it is true).

The two cleansing products in this kit are the Foamingly Clean Facial Wash and the Refined Finish Facial Polish. The wash is said to remove makeup and impurities with a soft and gentle lather. When using this wash, I found that it was a very thick, creamy texture that I wasn't really expecting and I would definitely recommend wetting your face (not just dampening) as it is otherwise very hard to get a nice lather to massage it into your face. I will say that it did make my face feel very washed and moisturised which is great from just one product and a little goes a long way.

The polish is said to brighten your complexion, gently exfoliate the skin and reduce the appearance of pores (something I greatly need!) and is to be applied after you cleansing. I would describe the product as a scrub and found it was quite harsh on my skin - not in a bad way but I could definitely feel it removing any dead skin from my face. Because of this, I would only use it maybe once or twice a week just so that I don't remove any natural oil and my skin isn't damaged even more. I know some people who have bad skin tend to go overboard with different face products and scrubs thinking this will help but in actual fact it doesn't. If you think about it, you are just removing the natural oils and damaging the surface layer of you face which will make it for susceptible to spots. I used to do this but have found it much better and more effective to use a much softer wash and then swap in a scrub every so often.

The facial emulsion contains tri-radiance complex to maintain the water on the surface of your skin to hydrate and comfort the skin. They also say that it is lightweight and oil free which is something that really appeals to me as I have an issue with oily skin and also dry skin so any light products are perfect. I also like that this contains SPF15 which is great as you shouldn't go out without a little bit of sun coverage, even if you don't think you need it. I found that this was very hydrating and nourishing. However, it is quite thick and heavy on my skin so I would only use a very small amount and not use the moisturiser as well as this would be too much.

In this set, there are two moisturising products, one for toning in preparation for the moisturiser and one Triple Performance Facial Emulsion. The toner is said to smooth the skin by hydrating it to make a smooth surface optimise the use of the moisturiser. It is applied using a cotton pad and is followed by the moisturiser. I don't commonly use a toner, it's just a step that I personally don't feel necessary, so I can't really compare this to any other brands or products however it does well very nice and I have felt lie my skin is slightly smoother.

The final two products are the two creams. The total moisture Facial Cream and the It's Potent! Eye Cream. The facial cream is described to provide immediate and long-term hydration and contains the same tri-radiance complex as the facial emulsion and feels very similar to the skin. It is again quite heavy so I would only use a very small amount and not on top of the emulsion, however, I did like that it felt quite hydrating and nourishing.

The eye cream is said to remove dark circles and smooth lines, basically, everything you want in an eye cream! I have never really used an eye cream and am always a little bit wary when using creams and products on my eyes as they are quite sensitive and I can get very dry skin on my lids which aren't very nice, however I really like how light this cream is and so far I have reacted so yay! I haven't been using it long enough to say whether or not it has made a difference to the darkness under my eyes however I am really liking it so far!

So for a general overview, I would say that I haven't tried one of these products that I didn't like, whether or not you need every single one is up to you! I just looked at Benefits website and they actually have even more product in this range, some that I would really like to try! I would say that if any of you would like to try any of this product, you definitely should! The three products I would say have been my favourite is the eye cream, the facial polish and wash are I just felt like this really cleansed my face and the cream was so light and moisturising!

So it's been lovely speaking to you guy again, hope you have a fab weekend and see you again on Monday! Have you ever tried any of these products ? If so, what did you think?
