A Day In: London

17:30

So today is quite a short post for you guys as I am currently on holiday so have very little time to sit down and write out a long and thorough post. I recently went to London again with one of my really good friends and we had that typical touristy day where we went to all the main sights in London: Oxford street, Covert Garden and Southbank ( this is where the London Eye and Big Ben is) and it was on that really, super hot day at around 31 degrees which was lovely but also kind of made it feel like you were going to pass out especially on some tubes that lack air conditioning!

We first ventured to Covent Garden but it was so hot and busy we didn't stay very long. I find that, unless you are a true tourist and have never been to London/ Covent Garden before or have lots of money to spend in all the lovely designer stores, there isn't much for you to do at Covent Garden so we walked down to Southbank to see some of the street acts and see the classic London sights.

Southbank is definitely the place to go if you want those classic London pictures with the Big Ben and the London Eye and Parelemt all in one shot. I think it would be a lovely place to go its night with all the buildings lit up and would make a beautiful picture. We saw a few street acts including a BMX bike act that was pretty cool although we didn't stay long.

After this, we headed up to oxford street on the tube, got some food and sat I Hyde Park for a while which was really lovely as it was so hot by this point! We sat in the shade and enjoyed the scenery are did a little bit of people watching (anyone else love to do this?) and then headed for the shops! The shops here are so huge it is unbelievable and we could only tackle a few before we decided it was time to head home!

So here are a few photos of our day I hope you enjoy!

Have you ever visited London? Where are your favourite places to go? Next time I would like to go to some less well-known areas so any suggestions would be great!
