Makeup Revolution Palettes

19:00

So for my birthday I was lucky enough to get a wide selection of makeup and beauty treats so, instead of doing a huge haul where I couldn't really go into lots if detail, I have decided that I will do some more in depth reviews of some of the products then a general over look where you guys don't really get a good idea of the product. Today I have decided to start with the four Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes that I recieved.

I was kindly given two of the palettes with 32 shades, the first is the Ultra Professional Eyeshadow in Flawless and the second is the Ultra Eyeshadow 32 Ultra Professional Eyeshadow in Affirmation. I was a little hesitant about these shadows due to the packaging and the size of the shadows which are much smaller than other round shadows I have seen. However I am completely convinced! They are feel much more creamy ( with only a few feeling slightly chalky) and the darker shades are much more pigmented than I thought - the lighter ones not so much which is slightly dissapointed. These retail at £8 a pop with 16g so I think that they are really something that everyone has to have as they are so reasonably priced! You are get a huge mirror that is so handy; it is the main one that I use when putting my make up on in the morning as I can walk around and multitask whilst putting on my make up - I seem to have this band habit of pressing the snooze button one too many times in the morning!

The two other palettes are the 12 shades palettes, the first is the Redemption Palette Iconic 3 and the Redemption Palette Essential Mattes 2. The first has a mixture of mattes and shimmers, the second is obviously just mattes. Now I have to say that I am not quite as impressed with these palettes as I was when I tried the other two as they didn't feel as smooth when applied and where much more chalky. They weren't as pigmented either which was a shame however there were some shades that I really liked which were mainly the shimmer shades which is slightly disappointing as there where less of those than the mattes. these retail at £4 and you get 12g which means that you do get more for your money and the quality is still really good for the price, however I do think that if you can, stretch that little but more for one of the 32 palettes.
