A Review: Benefit Real Tempting Threesome

17:56

I'm back! Exams have finally finished, although for a while I thought they never would, and I can now get back to my normal schedule of posting three times a week ( every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for those who don't know). I am so sorry for not being able to keep up with posts. I did manage to hang in there for a few weeks however these last few exams have really taken their toll on me and I had to take a break from blogging in order to have enough time to keep up with all the school work and keep a sane mind (something I'm not to sure I've managed to do!).

By taking a break, it has actually made me realise how much I have grown to love blogging these last few months and how it is now suched a loved part in my every day routine. I found myself thinking 'Oh this would be a good post' or 'Oh I should write this in a post' or something similar, but then having to check my self since I wasn't meant to be focusing on that. I have really missed creating posts, talking to you guys and receiving your comments and I now can't wait to get really focus on my blog over the next ten or so weeks.

So enough rambling, lets get on with today's post! So today I have got for you a review on the Benefit Real Tempting Threesome kit which I received for my birthday. In this kit you get a mini They're Real mascara, a mini They're Real water proof makeup remover and a full sized push-up liner. This retail at £18.50 which is so good as even just the mini mascaras are about a tenner. If you are wanting to try any of these products out , definalty get this little pack to give them all ago!

This mascara was actually my first ever high end purchase when I was about 12 or 13. I had been given a £10 boots token and decided to really splash the cash ( well, for a 13 year old) and buy a full sized tube of this mascara and let me tell you , it was the most amazing mascara I had ever used. I absolutely loved it. However it was sadly out of my budget so when it finished that was it, and I have never repurchased it. However even after so many years of not using it, it is still the mascara I would recommend to any one and is normally what people say when I ask someone with amazing lashes what mascara they use. I used this little mini one for the first time again today and I am relieved to say that it still lives up to my expectations (does anyone else get a little nervous when they trying out an old product hoping its still as good as they thought?). You can see below the before and after photo and make up you minds from there. I really don't really think I have to say much more!

Before
After

I have been wishig to try this eye liner for as long as I can remember , mainly because I am a bit of an eyeliner junkie, but also because of the way it is branded. Benefit say that this is the first ever lash hugging liquid liner pen that doesn't dry out and this is take on eyeliner is something that I really wanted to try. If I had written this review a week ago, I would have said that this was a must have that everyone should get- it was so easy to use, its so quick to apply, the formula was great and the silicon tip was something I had never seen before making it a very exciting new discovery. However, after about a week of not using is (bearing in mind that I only used it two or three times before) the liner seemed to have dried out, clogging up the silicon tip. I was turning the base of the pen to get more liner out, trying to figure out why it wasn't working and noticed that there was a huge bulge at the tip where it was obviously stuck and the liner was building up. This meant that it then all came shooting out and went all over my hands and a lot of liner was wasted - something I am not impressed at as this is not a cheap product and I really hate wasting makeup. Now I don't know if this was just a one time thing or I have some how ended up with one from a dodgy batch but it is definitly something to think about before you spend your money one. It isn't the end of the world and it is still a really lovely eye linere when it works, however it is slightly frustrating when you are maybe in a rush or you have spent a lot of money on

The mini makeup remover was something that I hadn't really thought that much about, going on the fact that make up remover is make up remover and it doesn't get more different than that. However I used this today to removed my eyeliner and it was not at all what I expected! It comes at as a cream/gel which I put over the liner and it looked like it dissolved the liner away, if that makes sense? All I used was three tiny little drops and hardy any eyeliner was left which is great because that means that even though the tube is super mini, it will last for quite a long time. There was no left over oily feeling which a lot of waterproof makeup removers tend to leave which is amazing as I really hate that oily feeling. Over all I think that this is surprisingly a really good product and one a would really consider repurchasing when this is finished!

So I hope you have liked this post, comment below if you found it useful and I hope that you guys have a fab weekend! So glad to be back posting!
