MY FIRST TIME KICK BOXING

17:40

Today I thought I would just do a small post on something I did recently in an act to try and get fitter for the summer but I actually ended up really enjoying myself! So a group of my friends and I decided that we would really like to start kick boxing. I'm not completley sure where this whole idea came from but we just decided to go! There was then of course the big fiasco of deciding where we were actually going to go with everyone wanting to go to different places and ,finally, we decided to try out the different ones as quite a lot of classes in my area offer a free trial so you can try them out.

So we went to the second one yesterday it it was so good! Afterwards I was struggling to take a drink as my hands were shaking so much and then today I had to almost re-teach myself how to write since I seemed to have lost all ability to move my wrist! But, apart from this, it was so good really good! It really felt like I had a really good work out and I felt encouraged to do more. If you want to get fit and tone up your body at the same time I would definitely recommend kick boxing, But if you don't really like to get a little (or a lot in my case!) sweaty then maybe kick boxing is not for you! The class I took was an hour and a half and we were pretty much working for the whole time, with just a few water breaks in between and at some parts it did feel like I was going to die. But when I finished, it was surprisingly rewarding; nowing that I had work hard and really sweated it out (gross I know!) but still lived to tell the tale! And I enjoyed it too which is great! It is a real sense of accomplishment.

I love being active but I am not the kind of person that likes to do every single sport or does a different class every single day-I will only do it if I enjoy it. There is no point in doing something that you don't want to do and I always think that sport is something that you have to enjoy in order to keep at it. It is something that will either make you feel really good about your self or really bad. However, I don't think this should stop any one. If you want to do a sport or be active then you can. Don't let the views of other people affect what you do. Also don't be completely put off all sport if you tried one and didn't like it. I firmly believe that there is a sport for everyone. Maybe yoga or pilates or swimming or something else, there are so many options out there.

So this has turned out to be a bit of a ramble but I do hope you enjoyed it! And I'll keep you up to date with how the rest of the kick boxing goes!
Have you ever tried kick boxing or really enjoy another sport?
