SUMMER EYE TUTORIAL

17:57

Even though today has not been the most summery day, I thought I would share with you a super easy summer eye look- and my first ever tutorial! It's a warm, shimmery eye that has copper and pink tones to it. I am afraid that my camera isn't the best so the colours don't really come through as strong as they do in real life, but I think you can still see the idea behind it and what I am trying to achieve! This is my go to look for whenever I am going out, day or night. It was the first eye shadow look that I ever did so it is perfect for those trying to experiment with eyeshadow but not really sure how to do it!

So first I used the Bourjois Color Band 2-in-1 eyeshadow and eyeliner stick in the shade Rose Fauviste all over my lid. Then I applied the Rimmel Kate eyeshadow stick in 100 Rose Gold to the outer v of my eye, bringing it out into an almost square. Then using a fluffy blending brush, I blended them together make sure the colours transitioned smoothly and there are no harsh lines. I love these eyeshadow sticks- if you're a beginner they're great as you can just apply them and it doesn't matter if you make a mistake as they blend out so easily to get a really beautiful shadow. They are also very pigmented and creamy so make a great base for you powdered shadows.

After this I applied a rose gold/champagne colour from my Sleek Arabian Nights palette which was sadly a limited addition but a good alternative would be the pink shade from the MUA Chocolate Box palette. And to finish the shadow, I put the dark chocolate shade from this palette onto the outer edge of my eye and then blended it into the crease. This doesn't show up very well on the camera which I don't really understand as it is quite dark and smokey!

Now you can leave it as this if you want a nice subtle look for in the day but if you want that little but extra for going out at night, you can add some eyeliner. Something that looks really nice as a soft smokey brown liner but I chose to got with a winged liner. This liner did not go at all like I wanted it to so apologies for that! Do you ever find that as soon as you try to put something on camera it never goes right? If you would like a more in depth tutorial on this (and it will be better I promise) then comment below and I'll be sure to do it!

So that's it! It really is a super easy look and will look great for any time of the day! What is your go to look?

Makeup sometimes looks lighter on camera, maybe that's why. ;)
